Bill Watson

NH Dept. of Transportation

Bill Watson

For over 30 years Bill Watson has been employed by the NH Department of Transportation.  He graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1991 with a degree in Civil Engineering. His experience with the Department has allowed him to spend time in Engineering, Finance, and IT management positions.  However, Bill has spent most of his career as the Administrator of the Bureau of Planning and Community Assistance.  The position has afforded Bill the opportunity to work with the NH Legislature, Governor and Executive Council, Congressional Leaders, and Communities all over the state. The goal of this outreach is to help communities, Regional Planning Commissions, and other entities to plan for transportation infrastructure improvements, find funding for these improvements through the State’s Ten Year Plan, Discretionary funds and other sources, and then guiding the implementation of these projects to meet those initial stated planning goals.  Bill has been involved with the Hampton Beach Area Commission for over ten years.  He has lived in Concord NH for about 35 years and is married with 5 children ages 9-24.
